Emily was pretty new to the area, she had only been living there for a year and two months. Since the death of her parents she had moved into a nice small house just on the outskirts of town with one of her best friends; Cassie. She went to school and had a part time job at the local cafe, though she found it easy to balance the two of them. In the small house it was usually just her--her friend and roommate for the most time was over at her boyfriend's house or busy working after school. Sure it got lonely sometimes in the house but she enjoyed her personal space after a long day, and even when Cassie was home they would go out and do something together to keep their mind off of other things that might have interfered with their day somehow. Most of the time the girls spent their time in the park, playing with dogs, playing music and watching the views of not only the sky but attractive men as well and boy there was a lot of them to look at.
The night was late and of course Cassie was fast asleep in her bedroom. Emily though--the petite brunette--could not sleep one ounce tonight. Sitting in a dark red bean bag that was in a corner of her bedroom, she had a book in her hands. She looked pretty comfortable sitting there with her feet up on a dark red footrest that matched the bean bag's pattern. Though this was not just any book, it was her journal. Every moment of her life was in there, ever since she was just a little child--probably around the age of five or six. Though when the next morning came around she was well prepared for her day. It was going to be a long one that was for sure but she did not mind it at all because she enjoyed spending her time with her favourite teacher/professor/mentor.
Emily did not really know what to call him, but over the last few months she had become closer than the rest of the students had; which honestly was turning out to be better for her in the long run anyways so she did not really care. A quick shower and then she got dressed for the day, wearing dark blue jeans and a black shirt that was underneath the scrubs she was wearing--they were a black and fit her petite body nicely. She grabbed her books, bid her roommate a good bye and headed out. Knowing she was going to be early, she grabbed a coffee on her way. When she arrived at the infirmary, she was greeted by some people that were only there for a few more days and she gladly greeted them back and headed into the lounge room which was thankfully dead. She made herself comfortable on a chair and took a sip of her coffee. Sure Emily was only 18 years old, but she enjoyed the coffee taste more than others would around this age. Oh well, it did not seem to bother her one bit.
