A Gijinka Pokemon Roleplay

You wanna be the very best. Like no one ever was. To catch them is your real test. To train them is your cause…



This world is filled with wonderful creatures. They are friends, wild animals waiting to be caught, and creatures that can be used for evil doings. These Pokémon are as diverse as their trainers. They can be used to battle, to show off, to trade, or even to breed. Your adventure beings with your starting Pokémon. From there, you build yourself in society. Take on gym leaders, battle the elite four, make friends, and make enemies. You can even compete in contests. The choice is yours. But one thing is for sure: you gotta catch ‘em all!

This world has become different than the world Ash and his friends knew at the beginning of the evolution of Pokemon. Decades later, centuries, even, there rises a new generation. The original Generation I and Generation II pokemon have become different than what had previously been known. Poke-humans, or Gijinka, now overrun the animal-driven world. These Gijinka are like the humans that train them, but they possess one powerful tool: they have the pokemon abilities of their ancestors. Some speculate that humans and pokemon crossbred to create this subspecices, while others say that the pokemon merely evolved into poke-humans after being exposed to them for so long. Whatever the case, these human-like pokemon now inhabit the forests, seas, rivers, mountains, and plains of this land. They live feral lives just as their animal pokemon ancestors, and those that have been bred in captivity live among the humans. They train under them, and those that have been bred can understand what trainers ask of them. Their cries remain the same as their pokemon ancestors, but trainers have begun to teach thse Gijinka pokemon how to speak their language. Through this, poke-humans and trainers have become one and now are on an epic quest to become stronger, more powerful, and more in tuned with themselves and others.

The Plotline

Prepare for trouble! Make it double! To protect the world from devastation! To unite all peoples within our nation! To denounce the evils of truth and love!
 To extend our reach to the stars above!
 Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!
 Surrender now, or prepare to fight!

It had always been Team Rocket's goal to capture, abuse, and sell Pokemon. It had been their dream to take over the world with the strongest Pokemon. Giovanni had at one time been their fearless and powerful leader. Team Rocket, under Giovanni's tough but knowledgeable ruling, had risen to power many times and had fallen in the ebbs and flows of the team uprisings. Other teams sprang up, Team Galactic, Team Auqa, Team Magma, among many others that triumphed in their own way. For years the teams fought for control and dominance over each world. Until the teams began to fall apart. One by one they collapsed, until only Team Rocket was left. Years fell into decades as new generations of Pokemon vanished from society. Generation I and II remained strong, relentlessly surviving what they endured and became Poke-human in response to the changing world. Today, Team Rocket is the only original team that has survived changes and let downs. Other teams have risen to fight with Rockets, but very few possess the needed drive to overthrow such an old team. Rocket is run by a new leader, a powerful and demanding man, who is bent on total world domination, especially over the Poke-humans that he considers to be slaves.


Now that he, Gatteus, has risen to the top of his game, he has set his sights on the Elite Four and the Champion. Together, with his enslaved Poke-humans, he will take over the known world and force others to release their Poke-humans so that he may claim them. The only thing standing in his way are four trainers, all of whom are good friends and have grown up together. The four trainers, two male and two female, have heeded the call of help the Professor has made and take to the Pokemon world to do their part in protecting it. Gatteus, though, has a secret weapon that only he knows about. A secret weapon that will help shape the face of the Pokemon world and how Team Rocket runs it forever. The secret? His daughter, a runaway who has refused to live the life destined to her by her bloodline. Together with the abused Pokemon she has taken away from her father's hold, she is on a journey to stop any Team from standing in her way. Along with her friends, she is destined to be something great, and meed greet characters along the way. What happens to the Poke-humans and trainers? To find out,  you gotta catch 'em all!

The story follows four trainers. Gatteus' daughter, and three of her friends who she has asked to join her own her adventures. Two males accompany her, as well as another female. Together, they must overcome other Teams who are determined to kidnap them to hold for ransom, Poke-humans who refuse the love of humans, and other trainers out for power and a spot in the Elite four. Will they have what it takes to become Pokemon masters, or will they fail like so many trainers before them? 

*All others will play the Poke-humans, and can be captured by trainers, Elite Four Members, the Champion, or Gym leaders.

1.) Follow TLC’s ToS, please.

2.) xxLostChildrenxx is the Champions (God) of this roleplay. Obey her.

3.) This roleplay is semi-lit to literate. At least one paragraph per post (eight sentences), but please don't post a book. If you roleplay like this: hey guyz *walks into battle and waves* how r u, then you'd best look at joining a different roleplay.

4.) Romance is encouraged, but please keep it PG-18. Once the clothes start dropping, time-skip it.

5.) Voilence and drama are musts. But, again, remember to keep everything to a PG-18 level. Also, no power-playing, auto-hitting, or god-modding.

6.) The look of the poke-human/Gijinka will stay the same while evolving (Like there facial features will stay the same)

7.) All appearances for this roleplay will be anime.

8.) We’d like everyone to post as often as you can in this roleplay! We want this thing to last! Don't join and then never post or join and post only once. It's not fair to us or my fellow roleplayers.

9.) Please remember to be polite and respectful to your fellow roleplayers. No one likes feeling left out.

10.) Please send me all profiles with the title "you teach me and I’ll teach you" and send me all reserves with your pokemon name.

11.) Once accepted, profiles will be placed on the profile board. From there, you may begin posting. Please understand if we ask you to change something. Don’t be rude.

12.) Have fun in this roleplay!! We hate it when everyone acts so serious. :3

13.) We have the right to add/remove rules/persons from this roleplay and to ignore anyone we want. So don't make us angry, 'kay?

14.) There is room for about 4 trainers in all, more if needed. All other trainers are NPC’s (same with gym leaders and elite four – though Dyslexic and I will play the champion if the time comes). All pokemon either begin feral or bred in captivity.

15.) Pokemon CAN breed, okay? They CAN…just no hybrid creatures. No..

16.) Pokemon do not have levels. They have their poke-human form, and they evolve as they gain experience and trust in their trainer . In addition, Pokemon do NOT understand human language if they are wild. If they were bred, tamed and rereleased, etc, then they can understand pieces of the human language. To each other, pokemon use their cries to talk. To humans, once tamed, they can slowly began to speak to their human trainers.

17.) I hold the right/power/freedom to control ANY gym leader/elite four member/ team rocket member/ any OC team member I see fit. You can ONLY play someone near you for a LITTLE while (not the main characters) as an NPC. If I need to take control of someone, I will. If we need to take control, we will

18.) If you want to catch a Pokemon, roll the dice. If it’s an even number, you caught it. If it’s odd, you did not. You must go to the store and BUY supplies. You do NOT have unlimited cash. Buy ONLY what you can afford. Don’t over-spend. Meaning, don’t be a bum, go out and sell things, buy things, train with trainers, get a job!

19.) You can only carry 6 pokemon. All others will be in the P.C. Get them out at Pokemon centers everywhere

20.) No Pokemon knows “HM” moves yet. No fly, no surf, nothing yet. Don’t base them off the game OR off the anime. Just have fun with this okay? These rules are to help everyone out. The only exception to this rule is legendary pokemon.

23.) Pokemon from ONLY these generations (cuz regions are too numerous to name) Gen. I , Gen. II , and Gen. III, that’s PLENTY of pokemon to choose from. If you take from any of the new stuff, I’ll kill you.

23.) Only ONE of each pokemon for now, until we get a range of pokemon to start with. So, once a pokmeon is crossed off, no one else can take it until we open it for new slots.

24.) No legendary Pokemon until you are at least two (2) non-legendary. Remember, lengendaries do not get captured right off the bat, so they will not be used right away. 

25.) Please remember that we need three (3) other trainers. If you play a trainer character, you automatically get to take a legendary Pokemon of your choosing.

26.) Pokemon moves are *not* the same as the game. You cannot KO a player without the player's consent (unless it's an NPC). The moves are based on your Pokemon's training and experience, not by level. You cannot have an all-powerful Pokemon that defeats everything in sight. Your pokemon can and will take damage and will faint. Sometimes you will lose battles. Deal with it. It's not the end of the world.

Teams

Team Rocket 

Keeper of a variety of Pokemon. Steals from trainers, and is determined to take over the world by eliminating all Poke-humans from their trainers.

Team Legend 
Enjoys the company of legendary Poke-humans. Determined to take over the world with strictly legendary Poke-humans, Team Legend is notorious for training Poke-humans, and when they are no longer a use; discard them or kill them viciously.

Team Mirage 
Not much is known about this team. They are a very secretive organization, and very passive. They are the most nonaggressive out of the four teams. Most of the time, they'll throw down smoke screens or use SmokeScreen as an attack, get in and steal Poke-humans, then get out without ever having to battle. It is rumored, though, they are on the hunt for some of the world's strongest Poke-humans.

Team Synthesis
Team Synthesis specializes in bug or plant Poke-humans. Anything having to do with nature, these almost hippies are right up on it. They are a ruthless bunch, who do not mind getting into trouble to make a few bucks. They do not steal Poke-humans. However, they love trying to take over the world by trying to steal anything that may enable them to control strong Poke-humans.

She has taken a few of the abused pokemon from her father, and has taken off in search of herself. Of course, her father is always watching in protectiveness of his daughter, and sends Rocket members to challenge her periodically. But, for the most part, he's allowing her to grow up and come into herself. She has a high ransom on her head from the other Teams, and Dria must keep on the move and in hiding if she doesn't want to be caught and held captive. She's an extremely strong trainer with no badges yet. → xxLostChildrenxx
	→ Artem Skander . 20 . Male → Artem is a long time friend of Dria and has been assisting her since she ran from her past. He had never minded who's daughter she was, since she had refused to let that determine who she would grow up to be. He intends to stick by her as long as possible while he also improves his skills as a trainer. While he has several pokemon, his following of Dria has kept him from obtaining any badges as of now. → sean113

Latios can be found usually in the more watery regions, as he is still on the search for his sister; Latias. It is rare to catch glimpses of him, as he shields himself from human view, in fear of being caught. Location Information

Wetshore Town

The starting point for most trainers. It has quite a few houses in this town, although it does not have a Pokecenter, or Pokemart. The Elite Four members have houses in this town for the Summer weather, which is the nicest in the region.




Callowere City

The city of Callowere is more of a massive Nightclub than a productive city. Although citizens are well off and have good jobs, most in the city enjoy the party life. The Pokemon gym is home to Arya, the Flying Type Gym leader.




Springmarsh Town

Home to Jack, the Psychic Type leader, Springmarsh Town is a very quiet and quaint place to be. It has a relaxing bath house for pokemon and trainers alike, and its this bathhouse that is the gym itself. This is where sightings of legendaries are more frequent in the region.




Bluebush City

The Fighting Type Gym Leader, Lily, keeps her home in this blue-tinted city. This city holds a battle arena for playful contests and battles for trainers to compete for titles and monetary rewards. The outskirts to this city is a long field of flowers, edged against a forest.




Pondley Town

This town is more of the creepy side of the region, very foggy and worn down. The saving grace of this town is Pier, the Fairy Type Gym Leader. Openly homosexual and very flamboyant, he enjoys using his pokemon to make the town just a bit brighter of a place to live.




Eiranheld Town

Sten, the Steel Type Gym Leader, holds his pokemon battles inside hollow giant trees. The town itself is carved in this massive forest, and is the hometown to Professor Aspen. She is stationed here, and spend most of her time exploring here. The Steel gym leader is here because of how easy it is to train in the forest terrain, where mountains still loom nearby. 




Verthill Town

Ira, the Electric Type Gym Leader, lives in the snowy mountainside town of Verthill. Although the cold can be dangerous for Ira's pokemon, they are toughened up with the chilly weather and seem to thrive off the tough love. This town has beautiful shows once a month that involves ice crystals and any ice powers pokemon can provide.




Mashlyn Town

This wet town does not have a gym, but it does have a supermarket to stock up on supplies. Here, trainers can take boats out for a ride, or even their own pokemon. This is where many trainers can be given HM moves if they can prove themselves worth to a dojo on the edge of a boardwalk.




Glassmarrow City

Glassmarrow City is home to Laura, the Water Type Gym Leader. Her gym is entirely submerged in water, and it takes a submarine (or dive) to access her location underwater. This city is one of the most active cities in the region. Although they don't party as much, this city never exactly sleeps.




Wavetop City

Although there is no gym leader in this city, Wavetop is a very productive shipping location. Canals run through the city at all angles, and buildings have channels through and around them in almost all locations. Each building has many glass windows to give the rooms natural lighting. Pokemon seem to enjoy the more natural feel of this city, and many wild water pokemon rest in its waters.




Erihollow City

Winston, the Bug Type Gym Leader, calls this city his home. He is the last gym leader needing to be faced before the Elite four, and although he has bug types; it does not make him weak. His pokemon are the most feared in the region, even by other gym leaders. He is hardly a step down from the Elite four. This city's roads are paved with what looks like golden bricks.




Aelfort City

The final stretch to the elite four, Aelfort City is the link between the region's past and future. The Elite four are located on the other side of Victory Valley, a treacherous journey even for experienced trainers. Some of the most challenging trainers and wild pokemon are located in this city, and many do not enjoy letting just any traveler into the Valley to prove themselves to the Elite Four. This city can be very unfriendly towards outsiders, so beware.
